Turkish President Speaks with Regret About El Fasher and Announces…

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in recent days, and you are undoubtedly following the horrific scenes coming from Sudan.
He added, “No one with a conscience can accept the massacres against civilians in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur. We cannot remain silent or indifferent to them.”
He continued, “We in Turkey condemn in the strongest terms the injustice perpetrated against civilians in El Fasher.
The attacks in and around El Fasher must stop immediately, and the massacres committed against innocent civilians must end immediately.”
He emphasized, “We are ready, sincerely and honestly, to do what our fraternal duty dictates in this matter.”
He added, “It is enough for us that the blood of our brothers and sisters not be shed. It is enough for us that innocent children, women, and civilians not be killed.”
He concluded, “I expect you, men and women of the press, to support this effort by conveying the tragedy of our brothers and sisters in Sudan to the world.”
