The Minister of Social Development discusses with the Commissioner of the Commission for Social Security the launch of the Direct Cash Support Program

Salem pointed out that the meeting focused on the preparations for the start of the program, which targets 35,000 families in the state, in addition to 43,000 beneficiaries. He noted that the program is funded by the Federal Ministry of Finance, with implementation by the Commission in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development in Khartoum State.
He also stated that the program includes supporting Takaya with foodstuffs through a food basket consisting of eight items, with a total quantity of 82 tons distributed to Takaya and kitchens in all localities of the state.
The meeting discussed the financing of small development projects through the tripartite agreement signed by the Savings Bank, the Commission for Social Security, Solidarity, and Poverty Reduction, and the Intelligence Bureau, which aims, in the first phase, to finance 2,000 economic activists in the state of Khartoum.
