The Minister of Human Resources launched the largest projects of the “Big Bank Drain” in support of more than 166 thousand beneficiaries

The Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare continued his visit to the River Nile , where he met with Dr. Mohammed Al-Badawi Abu Qaroun, the governor of the state, after his return from the locality of Al – Dabba. He then accompanied him in the inauguration of major bank drainage projects, which represented one of the largest economic and social initiatives in the state in recent years.

During the inauguration, 13,190 various projects were announced, distributed among the seven localities of the state, which were identified by the beneficiaries themselves according to their needs. These included extensive production and service projects such as laundries, fishing boats, tuktaks, water for the disabled with special designs, deep freezers for the manufacture of ice cream, sahnats, minimizers, bakery ovens, mills, and agricultural projects.

The event also included supporting the Al-Hasa project in Berber locality with a water pump, and providing 1,000 bags of wheat seeds to the Beheira locality to support small farmers and improve agricultural production, as part of the integration of poverty reduction programs while enhancing local production.

During the visit, the Minister reviewed the conditions of the inmates of Al-Damer Prison, where 42 inmates were released from the prison, as part of an integrated program that includes care before and after release. The prison’s blacksmithing and carpentry workshops have been rehabilitated to professionally rehabilitate inmates. The released people were also given bags of work kits (blacksmithing and carpentry) to start a new life with halal, in addition to complete food baskets containing (sugar, flour, oil, lentils, and beans) to ensure their stability and their families until they are fully integrated into society.

The Minister also visited the productive project for graduates, where he stood on the productive cooperative societies and provided monetary support to 7 productive societies, directing the expansion of productive partnerships and the dissemination of experience in all the states of Sudan.
