Sovereignty Council Settles Debate on Truce and Burhan-Hemedti Meeting

Sources from the Sudanese Sovereignty Council categorically denied rumors of an impending truce with rebel forces or any arrangements for a meeting between Head of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti.”
The sources confirmed that what is being circulated in this regard is merely rumors spread by “resilience and establishment rooms” that actively disseminate misleading news. They emphasized that the state leadership is currently focused on retaking the cities of El Fasher and Bara in the near future, and that there is no official inclination towards negotiation or declaring a truce at this stage.
