SAPA inaugurates primary health care center in Tawila area of North Darfur state

SAPA has announced the opening of an integrated primary health care center in the Tawila area of North Darfur state, with the support of Islamic Relief USA, as a continuation of its interventions over the past two years and in response to the worsening humanitarian crisis in El Fasher. The center aims to serve about 10,000 displaced people and residents during the first three months by providing basic services, including primary health care, nutrition for children, pregnant women, and lactating women, reproductive health, and routine vaccinations.

The opening of the center is an important step to strengthen joint humanitarian efforts and provide health care to the most vulnerable people in North Darfur. In press statements, Dr. Mohamed Al-Amin Abu Manga, Regional Director of SAPA, affirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting the health sector and rehabilitating its war-affected infrastructure, noting that the center was fully constructed and equipped with devices and equipment by the organization. He also stressed the importance of international cooperation to address health conditions.

He pledged to provide them with primary health care. He pointed out that SAPA has been working for two years to provide health services through its centers in Tawila, mobile clinics, mobile centers, in addition to nutrition and treatment services, as well as providing food through central kitchens that provide daily meals to more than 21,500 people.
