The Federal Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Health Insurance Fund, has launched “On -the -Job Training PHC Services’s Packages” targeting about 500 primary health care personnel. Supporting PHC services for IDPs and host communities, this project includes standard protocols and guidelines for the treatment of communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, mental health support, integrated care for childhood illnesses, health information systems, reporting, and patient triage systems. It is funded by British aid.
The training contributes to strengthening the capacities of targeted health cadres and advances efforts to enhance the resilience of the health system, early recovery, and the continued provision of quality health services to displaced people and host communities in light of the conflict in the country.
