Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments Participates in Opening of Exhibition Accompanying the Fifth Hajj Conference in Jeddah
Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments,
Bashir Haroun Abdelkarim, , accompanied by His Excellency Ambassador Kamal Ali Osman Taha, Consul General of the Republic of Sudan in Jeddah, participated in the opening of the exhibition accompanying the Hajj Conference, Haj Expo 2025, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj in Jeddah. The fifth edition of the Hajj Exhibition, themed “From Makkah to the World,” is being held from November 9 to 12, with international and regional attendance and broad participation from ministers and heads of Hajj affairs offices in Islamic countries.
In his opening address, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, welcomed the participating delegations.
During the opening ceremony, His Highness affirmed that the Kingdom is committed to continuing its efforts to serve the Two Holy Mosques and care for their visitors, based on the Kingdom’s noble mission to serve Islam and Muslims. He pointed out that this approach has been firmly established and continuous since the era of the founder, King Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them. His Highness expressed his hope that the outcomes of the conference and exhibition would contribute to enhancing previous successes and be a guide for developing the Hajj and Umrah system in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The Minister also participated in the official meeting of the heads of delegations, which was chaired by Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, explained that the purpose of the meeting was to thank the participating countries for their active contributions to the success of the 1446 AH Hajj season. He also emphasized the need for concerted efforts from all countries to ensure a successful and honorable Hajj season in 1447 AH.
Several heads of delegations expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Saudi government, its King, and its people for their tremendous support of the pilgrims. They specifically thanked Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah for the significant advancements and technological transformation in Hajj operations.
