Jaber Inaugurates Khartoum State Police Emergency Response Department

Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, and Head of the Higher Committee for Preparing the Environment for Return to Khartoum State, called for vigilance and the adoption of the latest methods to strengthen security control over all areas of the capital. He also stressed the importance of providing rapid and immediate emergency response mechanisms to ensure the safety and security of citizens.

This came during his inauguration today of the Emergency Response Department of the Khartoum State Police in the Al-Muqran area of ​​Khartoum. The inauguration was attended by the Ministers of Defense, Federal Governance, and Industry, the Director General of Police Forces, and the Governor of Khartoum. This initiative is part of the committee’s action plan to enhance security and monitor the capital.

His Excellency affirmed the government’s commitment to acquiring the best equipment and communication and tracking systems to curb negative practices and detect criminal activities that could threaten the security of citizens.

For his part, the Director of Khartoum State Police, Lieutenant General Dr. Siraj al-Din Mansour Khalid, announced that the emergency hotline (999) has resumed operations, restoring all support lines for families, children, civil defense, and the central ambulance service. It has begun receiving calls through a number of call centers and handling humanitarian and criminal reports.

Lieutenant General Dr. Siraj al-Din affirmed the police leadership’s commitment to providing all necessary measures to maintain security and serve the citizens.
