Emir of Qatar: It is time to stop the war in Sudan

The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, expressed his shock on Tuesday at the “horrific atrocities” committed in the city of El Fasher in Sudan’s Darfur region, stressing that it is time to stop the war in the country.

In his address at the Second World Summit for Social Development held in Doha, he said: “We all express our shock at the horrific atrocities committed in the Sudanese city of El Fasher, and we unequivocally condemn them.”

He stressed that “the time has come to stop the war in Sudan and reach a political solution that guarantees its unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.”

In another context, Emir Tamim emphasized that the Palestinian people need all possible support to address the catastrophic effects of the two-year-long Israeli aggression.

He called on the international community to redouble its efforts and provide support to the Palestinian people for reconstruction and to secure their necessary needs.
