East Nile Locality Organizes a Mass Protest in Solidarity with the People of El Fasher

On Monday, the East Nile locality (Sharg En Nile) organized a huge protest in Dar es Salaam Square in Al Magharba, expressing their full solidarity with the people of El Fasher in the face of the difficult humanitarian situation and the violations that have affected civilians and innocent people in Darfur.
The vigil was attended by the Executive Director of the locality and a number of military, executive, community leaders, including Major General Abdullah Al-Khader, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Committee for Alert and Popular Resistance in the locality; Major General Adel Mohamed Moussa, Commander of the Joint Operations in East Nile; Brigadier General Ibrahim Idris, Director of the Local Police, along with a constellation of popular and military leaders, all of whom stressed the need to stand in solidarity with the people of Al-Fasher and protect the dignity of the Sudanese citizens.
In his speech, Major General (Eng.) Security (Eng.) Abdullah Al-Khader said: “Today, all of us here, the people of East Nile, stand in one line with our brothers in El Fasher, carrying the flame of solidarity in the face of violations that do not differentiate between a child and an elderly person, between a man and a woman.”
We express our sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs, asking God to accept them well, to relieve our people in Darfur of their pain, and to hasten for them relief, victory, and tranquility.
The position of the East Nile locality is clear and unwavering: We reject all forms of betrayal and violations against our people, and we affirm that national dignity is a red line that cannot be crossed. Justice and peace are the only way to build a free and stable Sudan, and we stand together to defend the homeland and the unity of the people.
Therefore, today we announce the opening of camps and training for anyone who can bear arms, stressing the unity of the national ranks and solidarity to face the challenges the country is going through, in order to preserve the homeland and the safety of its people.
The vigil concluded with a mass march during which the participants raised Sudanese flags, stressing national cohesion and general mobilization to support the people of El Fasher, and renewing their pledge to stand with justice and dignity in all parts of Sudan.
