Director of Vector Control: Control campaigns decrease the incidence of dengue fever and malaria

The Director of Vector Control at the Federal Ministry of Health, Hamza Sami Al-Jak, said that the control campaigns organized in several states have contributed to a decrease in the incidence of dengue fever and malaria, as well as a reduction in mosquito density indicators.

In a press statement, Al-Jak confirmed that the campaign in the localities of Khartoum State continues and has entered its third month, focusing on various axes, the most important of which is home inspection to address reproduction inside homes, with the participation of 7,000 home inspectors to carry out weekly visits. He noted that the campaigns continue in the states of Gezira, White Nile, Sennar, and Gedaref, with home inspections, Razzazi spraying inside homes, as well as Razzazi spraying with machines carried on vehicles.
