Agar discusses with Eritrean President Developments in Sudan

Deputy Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar, met with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki. He briefed him on the latest developments in Sudan, particularly the humanitarian and military situation, and Sudan’s position on international initiatives.

Agar said that the meeting also addressed regional and international developments and attempts to seize the resources of African countries.

He emphasized Sudan’s readiness to cooperate with Eritrea and all countries in the region to develop a strategy to combat the phenomenon of soft occupation, which is carried out through agents and proxies within African countries themselves.

For his part, the Eritrean President affirmed his solidarity with the government and people of Sudan, noting that Eritrea hosts a large number of Sudanese in their second home without any restrictions.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Deputy Head of the Sovereignty Council met with the Sudanese community in Eritrea and briefed them on the situation in Sudan.
