What happened in El Fasher is a new call for unity and steadfastness

The governor of West Darfur, General Bahr al-Din Adam Karama, said that our forces were patient and remained in El Fasher with all their formations, and provided what they could to defend our people, but the lifting of the siege on the city did not achieve as we wanted. It is a station for review, not defeat.

The governor added in limited press statements today that what happened in El Fasher does not mean that our guns will rust, nor will our will be broken. It is not the end of the road, but a new call for unity and steadfastness. Anyone who thinks that the loss of a city will bring down the resolve of a nation is ignorant of the metal of this people.

He added that we are facing a test of unity and will, and we will continue the battle militarily, politically and in the media until the Janjaweed are held accountable for their crimes, and our homeland regains its security and dignity.
