The Prime Minister Addresses the National Health Forum

Prime Minister Kamel Idris stressed that the “White Army” of health cadres is the pillar of the country’s health development, praising the health sector workers for their efforts during the past stage.
Addressing the National Forum for Health Sector Partners, organized by the General Directorate of International Health at the Federal Ministry of Health at the Rabwa Hotel, under the slogan: “The Bridge of Health from Response to Recovery and Sustainability,” Kamel said that this forum is historic and one of the most important tools that contribute to the implementation of the comprehensive health strategy in Sudan. He pointed out that Sudan has raised the slogan “We Resist and Win” on the highest platform of the United Nations, adding that the health platform represents a total breakthrough for the health sector, and that we are following up and coordinating within the country, Sudanese, of course.
Kamel called for the importance of coordination with international bodies and organizations in order to implement the overall plan that everyone seeks.
For his part, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Federal Minister of Health, said that we must thank God for this pause, which came after the efforts of the armed forces, and now we are looking forward to peace in the country during the next phase, pointing out that the great efforts made to restore health services after the war launched by the militia have resulted in the transition from the response plan that began three years ago to the stage of recovery, reconstruction and the development of the health sector.
He added that there are brothers who stood with the country step by step in bringing medicine and rehabilitating camps in all states, and continued by saying that the outputs of this forum will be supportive and will find us to work hard to enforce them and bring them to reality, adding that Sudan is still groaning in some of its parties, and that the ministry has developed a reconstruction plan through interim projects.
Haitham pointed out that the ministry has developed a plan with partners and UN agencies working in the country to achieve health and comprehensive coverage of health services, noting that the forum came at a critical time to provide health services.
Mutasem Mohamed Saleh, Minister of Human Resources, stressed that the war has produced a complex reality from which all efforts must be concerted, considering that this forum is a historic opportunity to prepare a plan to enhance the roles of state agencies, stressing that human health is one of the main pillars
