Sovereignty Council Mourns Dr. Mohamed Tahir Aila

The Transitional Sovereignty Council mourns with deep sorrow and grief the passing of Dr. Mohamed Tahir Ayala, former Prime Minister of Sudan, who passed away in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, today after a long illness.
In mourning his passing, the Sovereignty Council mourns for the Sudanese nation one of the most prominent national and political leaders in eastern Sudan, who left a clear mark on the path of development and public service. The deceased was a prominent Sudanese figure, having held several positions throughout his political career.
The Sovereignty Council extends its deepest condolences to the Sudanese people, the leaders of eastern Sudan, and all components of the eastern region on this great loss. With his passing, Sudan has lost a patriotic and loyal man who contributed to its development.
May God have mercy on the deceased and grant him His vast mercy, and inspire his family and loved ones with patience, solace, and comfort.
