Scientific Paper on Pricing Health Services Presents by a UNICEF Expert

An expert at the UNICEF office in Sudan, Dr. Mohamed Youssef, presented a scientific roadmap for setting the prices of health services based on the calculation of costs. The paper, which was attended by participants in the workshop organized by the National Health Insurance Fund in partnership with UNICEF in Kassala yesterday, focused on discussing how to reduce the disparity in the prices of health services between the different levels, with the aim of agreeing on a mechanism for determining the prices of health services at the level of different states.

Experts in the fields of health work said that the workshop aims to strengthen the partnership between UNICEF and health insurance in supporting efforts to achieve social protection, improve and develop the health system, define the roles of health system partners, and contribute to price control and satisfaction.

It is worth noting that Dr. Mohamed Yousef, an expert at the UNICEF office, served as the Minister of Health in West Darfur State, held several positions in the National Health Insurance Fund, and currently works as an expert for the World Health Organization in the Darfur Regional Office.
