RSF Accused of Carrying Out Field Executions and Kidnappings in El Fasher

Field reports and statements on Tuesday indicated that the Rapid Support Forces carried out widespread killings of civilians in El Fasher and kidnapped several doctors, after seizing control of the city, which they had besieged for months.

The Joint Force of Movements fighting alongside the Sudanese army said in a statement that the Rapid Support Forces committed heinous crimes against innocent civilians in El Fasher, liquidating and killing more than 2,000 unarmed civilians on October 26 and 27, most of whom were women, children, and the elderly.

The joint force condemned “the crimes committed by the Rapid Support Forces against civilians,” and held the so-called Foundation Coalition and the countries supporting the Rapid Support Forces fully criminally, morally, and legally responsible for the violations that have taken place and are taking place in El Fasher, which constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, according to the statement.

The statement called on the United Nations, the Security Council, and international and human rights organizations to designate the Rapid Support Forces as a terrorist organization and bring the perpetrators to international justice.

For its part, the Sudanese Doctors Network said in a statement that the Rapid Support Forces had kidnapped six medical personnel in El Fasher and were demanding a ransom for their release.

The statement explained that the kidnapped included four doctors, in addition to a pharmacist and a nurse, who had continued to provide services to patients and the wounded throughout the siege of El Fasher.
