Governmental Action to Rehabilitate Sudanese Maritime Lines

The Sudanese Shipping Lines Company announced the organization of a workshop entitled “Developing Sudanese Maritime Lines (National Maritime Carrier)” at 9:00 AM next Tuesday at the “Amal” Hall in Port Sudan, under the slogan: “A Strategic Vision for the Future.”
The workshop is sponsored by Saif Al-Nasr Haroun, Head of Infrastructure and Transport, and, according to the company’s media, is part of its efforts for continuous improvement and enhanced performance.
The event will be held with the participation of a group of experts and specialists in the field of maritime transport. Three scientific papers will be discussed. The first paper, “The Global Maritime Fleet,” will be presented by Dr. Munjed Abbas, Professor of Maritime Transport Economics at the Red Sea University. The second paper, “The National Maritime Carrier and the Impact of its Absence on the Economic Reality in Sudan,” will be presented by Dr. Saja Hassan of the Sudanese Shipping Lines Company.
The third paper, “The Proposed Plan for Owning a National Maritime Fleet,” will be presented by Dr. Ibrahim Onour, Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Khartoum.
