The Federation of Employers Participates in the (39)th Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development in Amman

The Sudanese Federation of Employers, represented by Dr. Malik Ali Dongola, Vice President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, participated in the 39th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, which was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

Among the most notable decisions unanimously approved by the members was the endorsement of Mr. Abdullah Saleh Al-Kamel for the presidency of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development for the next term. Dr. Eng. Malik Ali Dongola, representing the Sudanese Businessmen’s Federation, announced his support for this nomination.

The meeting discussed several agenda items, most notably the approval of the 2024 financial statements, the appointment of an auditor for 2025, the settlement of the Federation of Syrian Chambers’ debt, and raising the Chamber’s financial reserve to $1,850,000 by the end of 2025.

The meeting also witnessed the launch of the “Palestine Initiative,” which aims to support Palestinian products with $1 million and provide markets for these products. Members also discussed a proposal to hold an economic conference in Egypt next February, aimed at enhancing cooperation between global economic institutions and formulating unified visions for economic policies.

The Islamic Chamber invited member states to submit proposals for the celebration of its golden jubilee, scheduled to take place soon. It was also decided to hold the next General Assembly in Medina before the end of this year.

The Sudanese Businessmen’s Federation emphasizes the importance of this participation, which enhances Sudan’s role in the Islamic economic system and reaffirms its commitment to supporting initiatives and decisions aimed at strengthening economic cooperation among member states.
