The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Women National Group (WNG),meets the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council

The Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Dr. Sarah Makki Hassan Abu, arrived in Port Sudan to participate in the workshop to be held today, Monday, September 8, under the title: Aworkshop on
Sudanese Women,s agenda and fair participation in rebuilding Sudan after the war.
During her visit, Dr. Sara intends to hold a number of meetings with the political and community leaders, as part of the introduction of the Women National Group (WNG) and its mission and goals aimed at empowering women and enhancing their participation in the next phase of rebuilding Sudan.
Dr. Sara began her program of meetings, accompanied by Mariam Al-Hindi, a member of the Board of Trustees, with a meeting with Commander Malik Agar, Vice President of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, where she reviewed the group’s vision and priorities in the transitional phase, especially with regard to the role of women in peace and reconstruction.
The Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council praised the expected role of the Women’s National Group, stressing the importance of its active participation in building post-war Sudan. The Vice Chairman of the Sovereignty Council also pledged to adopt some of the group’s projects after studying them.
