Higher Education: The success of the application and e-admission to universities is the fruit of a national partnership

The Director of the General Directorate of Information Technology and Networks at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Babakr Hussain confirmed that the process of announcing the admission result for higher education institutions for students of the postponed batch of 2023 was quite smooth, pointing out that the Ministry was able to restart the electronic system for universities, restore software, introduce the digital system and launch the electronic application.
He indicated that the number of applicants for admission to higher education institutions reached 88,014 students, representing 59.6% of the number of successful students, while the number of applicants for the Arab certificate and foreign certificates reached 1,752 students.
This came during the press conference held at the General Intelligence Service Hall in Port Sudan to announce the admission result for higher education institutions for the postponed batch of 2023.
Dr. Babiker explained that the Ministry, in cooperation with its partners, was able to restore the entire digital system and link it to the financial system at the Ministry of Finance, which enabled the successful resumption of electronic acceptance and payment processes.
He stressed that the experience of restart establishes a model to be followed in reconstruction, which is not limited to buildings but includes vital systems and services. Dr. Babiker said that the success of the electronic application and admission to universities is the fruit of a real national partnership and an integrated system in which many hands worked together for the benefit of the country.
Dr. Babiker stressed that the announcement of the admission result for higher education institutions is an embodiment of the victories of the armed forces, the General Intelligence Service, the police and the supporting forces in the battle of dignity. He congratulated the students for their patience and understanding of the exceptional circumstances that the country has gone through.
