Energy Minister discusses with the Turkish ambassador the resumption of work on the Klanayeb Electricity Project

Minister of Energy, Engineer Ibrahim Ahmed, resumed the second phase of the Clanayeb Electricity Project in Port Sudan.
TheTurkish delegation, led by the Turkish ambassador to Sudan, attended the meeting. He supported the project, pointing to the arrangement of financing operations with the African Import and Export Bank during his visit to Cairo and the bank’s visit, stressing the completion of the project according to the time period prepared for the project.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador valued the depth of the Sudanese-Turkish relations, stressing his country’s readiness to cooperate with Sudan in the field of energy, stressing that Turkey has many international companies specialized in the field of energy and can work in Sudan to restore what was destroyed by the war, indicating that the electricity sector is one of the strategic sectors, especially at this stage for Sudan.
