Editorial: Our Fragileb integrity system

Strong evidencies point to the existence of a system of suspicious relationships that cannot be ignored.

It is natural for corrupt practices to exist in any system of government, varying in severity and prevalence.

It is also natural for corrupt individuals to emerge from the elite, those with influence, and those close to them, increasing or decreasing, siphoning off public funds to fill their own personal coffers.

But what is abnormal—and even pathological—is the weakness of the integrity system and the inability of the state’s “immune system” to perform its defensive duties.

When this system is disrupted, transgressions proliferate, and the viruses of corruption take over the body of the state, causing it to become exhausted and deteriorate, weakening its ability to rise.

But the most dangerous of all is for viruses to take over the entire body of the state, redirecting it not to fight diseased cells but to pursue healthy cells, while appeasing the diseased cells and allowing them to gnaw at the structure of the state unchecked until it collapses…!

Healthcare professionals say: Prevention is better than cure.

Administrators say: Protection is more effective than punishment.

In conclusion, it is high time for our Government of Hope to deal with this issue seriously.
