Al-Burhan to arrive in Doha tomorrow

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council,
Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, will lead the Sudanese delegation participating in the emergency Arab Summit and the Islamic Summit, both being held in the Qatari capital, Doha, at the request of the State of Qatar.
According to informed sources, the visit will be for one day, and he will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem.
Al-Burhan is expected to meet with a number of presidents and heads of delegations on the sidelines of the Arab and Islamic Summit.
It is to be noted that the Sudan’s Ambassador to Cairo and its representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Imad al-Din Adawi, and Ambassador Dafallah al-Hajj Ali, Sudan’s Ambassador to Riyadh and its representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as the Chargé d’Affaires at the Sudanese Embassy in Doha, will participate in the ministerial meeting of the two summits, scheduled to be held today, on behalf of Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem, who was sworn in the day before yesterday and officially assumed his duties today.
The Arab and Islamic summit is being held against the backdrop of the Israeli airstrikes on the Qatari capital, Doha, targeting the Hamas negotiating delegation.
