World Humanitarian Day

On August 19th, the world celebrates a day unlike any other, a day when the banner of humanity is raised high and fluttering, reminding us that giving is the most sublime human ability, and that compassion is the only language understood by all without translation. Compassion extends beyond humans to animals, such as the look a hungry cat gives when it’s fed or a wounded bird when it’s treated.

World Humanitarian Day is not just a date in the annals of history. Rather, it is a story of sacrifice and giving, the tale of men and women who chose to be a light in the darkness of disasters, a refuge for the weak, and hope for the afflicted.
From here, we send our deepest gratitude and appreciation to our brothers and sisters in the Civil Defense Forces, officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers, for their dedication, generosity, and sacrifices in peace and war. May God accept those among them who have sacrificed their lives to save others.
We also salute all those working in humanitarian work in all its forms. And its fields in our beloved country and around the world.

Dear Reader,
Perhaps you agree with me that life is worthless if we do not share it with others, that strength is meaningless if it does not transform into support for those in need, and that existence is pointless if it does not bear goodness and mercy.

Let us make this day a sincere call for us all to be ambassadors for humanity… to give without expectation, to help without discrimination, and to sow seeds of hope wherever suffering arises.

Humanity is not a slogan to be raised, but rather a life to be lived, a value that illuminates paths no matter how intense the darkness.
