The Ministry of Health discusses the arrangements for the preparation of the strategic plan 2026-2030

The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, chaired the meeting of the Minister’s Cabinet, which was held in Khartoum, in the presence of the directors of the general departments and units affiliated to the Minister and the directors of the executive offices.

The meeting discussed the arrangements for the preparation of the strategic plan for the period 2026-2030, which aims to provide health services equitably to every Sudanese citizen, in addition to providing comprehensive enlightenment from public administrations on the progress of work.

The Undersecretary praised all workers in the health sector, especially the medical cadres who continue to perform in difficult and complex circumstances, stressing that the Ministry of Finance places health among its priorities, and thanked it for its continuous support. He stressed the need to develop a clear vision for the development of the performance of public administrations, and the importance of continuing to form specialized committees to follow up on the implementation of the strategy, with a directive to prepare monthly reports from the departments and units affiliated to the minister.

He pointed out that the Committee for the Preparation of Health Facilities in Khartoum State has started its work, and has launched a number of projects in the state, including campaigns to clean up the environment and control disease vectors, which will last for three months. He also pointed out that the Supreme Committee will be held under the chairmanship of Sovereign Council member Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber in the coming days, within the framework of preparing for the return to the national capital.
