The cholera vaccination campaign in the south of the Gezira State concludes

The Federal Chamber of the Cholera Vaccination Campaign announced the conclusion of the campaign in the South Gezira locality, with 100% coverage of all the targeted people, amounting to (779,294) individuals. Meanwhile, the campaign continues in some administrative units in Khartoum State, noting that the initial coverage reached (1,059,237) people out of the total target of (1,106,229) individuals.

In its meeting today, Wednesday, in the hall of the General Administration of Basic Health Care in the city of Kassala, the Chamber confirmed the continuation of the campaign in the locality of Al-Suki until after tomorrow, Saturday, August 23. A total of (308,847) people were covered in 6 days, out of a target of (421,439) individuals.

The Chamber reviewed the progress reports of the campaign from the liaison officers, including the plans of the federal supervisors throughout the days of the campaign, observations on supervision and home visits, health promotion activities, in addition to the supply situation ,side effects, monitoring of cases reported during the campaign, and coverages.
The President of the Chamber, Mohammed Al-Hussein Al-Hajj, praised all the employees of the Chamber, the federal supervisors, the states, the levels of supervision of the localities, administrative units, and the ministries of health in the states that witnessed the implementation of the campaigns, noting that they went according to the plan and achieved excellent coverage rates, directing them to adhere to the required precautions.
