Sudan is nearing a golden partnership with a giant Saudi company

The Undersecretary of the Sudanese Ministry of Minerals, Dr. Hind Siddiq Adam, discussed with a delegation from the Saudi Gold Refinery Company for Mining ways to enhance cooperation and investment opportunities in the mining sector in Sudan. The meeting was attended by the directors of the ministry’s technical departments.
The company’s delegation was headed by Youssef Abdel Rahim, Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs. The two sides discussed prospects for partnership, coordination for implementing the outcomes of the Riyadh Conference (January 2025), and arrangements for signing future bilateral agreements.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry affirmed Sudan’s readiness to provide the necessary technical and administrative support to the company, praising the high caliber of Sudanese personnel working within the group and emphasizing the Ministry’s keenness to enhance cooperation with leading Saudi companies, most notably the Gold Refinery Company, given its financial and technical capabilities capable of contributing to the development of the Sudanese mining sector.
The Saudi Gold Refinery Company is one of the companies of the Sulaiman Al-Othaim Group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
