Khartoum Governor witnesses the graduation of (2) thousand Popular Resistance recruits in Omdurman

The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman, attended the graduation ceremony of the third batch of Popular Resistance recruits from the Omdurman Local Program at Omdurman Stadium yesterday, in the presence of the Chairman of the National Committee for the Popular Resistance, Lieutenant General Bashir Mekki Al-Bahi. During the ceremony, two thousand male and female recruits graduated from the Salha, Abu Se’id, and Jadin camps. The Governor of Khartoum stated that the militias committed the most heinous crimes and violations during the war, forcing citizens to leave their homes. They also committed murder and detention with the support and backing of the oppressive states, which prolonged the war.

The Governor saluted the people of the southern countryside in all the villages that offered martyrs and sacrifices for pride and dignity. He congratulated the armed forces and supporting forces on the fronts of Kordofan and Darfur, as well as the Omdurman locality and its various sectors, from which this group graduated. He promised to continue supporting the camps in all the state’s localities.

The Chairman of the National Committee for the Popular Resistance expressed his happiness at witnessing this graduation in Khartoum State, which represents one of the goals of this phase. He stated that the Popular Resistance aims to continue the training camps to meet the needs of the armed forces to carry out military missions, secure liberated areas in all states and Khartoum, and participate with the police in enforcing the law and maintaining order.
