Khartoum Governor Receives Several State Governors Participating in the High Committee for Environmental Preparation for Citizens’ Return to Khartoum

As part of supporting Khartoum State’s efforts through the work of the High Committee for Environmental Preparation for Citizens’ Return to Khartoum State, Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza today received the state governors who arrived in Khartoum and declared their support and solidarity with the state. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the State Government, Al-Hadi Abdel Sayed Ibrahim.

They included Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour, Governor of the Red Sea State; Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, Governor of Gedaref State; and Major General Abdul Rahman Abdel Hamid, Governor of the Northern State.

The Governor of Khartoum welcomed the governors’ visits, which confirms Khartoum State’s status and national symbolism, given that it hosts the national capital. The governor stated that the states’ support for his state remained uninterrupted throughout the war, given that it was one of the states most affected by the war and lost most of its resources. This confirms the states’ solidarity and that the militias will not be able to defeat the national will and determination.

For their part, the state governors stressed that the national motive and the national importance of Khartoum’s role deserve support, assistance and standing with it.
