Khartoum Governor inaugurates (3) Nile Bank branches in the state

Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza yesterday inaugurated three new Nile Bank branches in Khartoum State, as part of the state government’s efforts to support the banking sector and promote the return of economic activity in the capital.

The inauguration was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Howayda Ali Awad Al-Karim, and the Director of the Central Bank of Sudan branch in Khartoum, Dr. Qurashi Muhammad, along with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nile Bank, Mr. Al-Fateh Hassan, the bank’s Executive Director, and a number of representatives of the Armed Forces, the Police, and the General Intelligence Service, as well as branch managers and employees.

The Governor of Khartoum praised the positions of the Egyptian apparatus, which continued to support the Armed Forces until complete victory was achieved in the Battle of Dignity and the defeat of the rebellion in Khartoum State. He emphasized that this victory laid the foundation for a new phase of stability and a gradual return to civilian life.

The governor also commended the banks’ initiative to resume operations from within Khartoum, which will facilitate banking procedures for citizens and meet their daily financial needs, especially as the Central Bank is about to replace its operations in the state during the coming period. He noted that the Nile Bank was among the first banking institutions to resume operations from within the state.

Furthermore, the governor called on operating banks to develop new financing formulas to support the state’s reconstruction plans and finance service and production projects related to people’s livelihoods. He affirmed the state government’s readiness to cooperate with all economic and production sectors to advance development.
