International Organization Condemns Militia Attack on Abu Shouk Camp

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) issued a statement condemning the violent attack launched by rebel militias on the Abu Shouk camp for internally displaced persons in El Fasher early last week, which resulted in dozens of civilian casualties.

The organization’s president, Mervyn Thomas, emphasized that what happened constitutes a crime against humanity.

This statement comes amid growing international calls to stop targeting civilians and internally displaced persons and to find a comprehensive political solution that alleviates the suffering of millions affected by the war in Sudan.
