Al-Burhan issues decisions according to which the formation of a new staff was formed

Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, issued decisions forming a new Chief of Staff as follows:

Lt. Gen. Mohamed Osman Al-Hussein Al-Hassan as Chief of Staff.

Lt. Gen. Magdi Ibrahim Osman Khalil as Deputy Chief of Staff for Supply.

Lt. Gen. Engineer Dr. Khaled Abdeen Mohamed Ahmed Al-Shami as Deputy Chief of Staff for Training.

Lt. Gen. Abdelkheir Abdullah Nasser Dargam as Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration.

Lt. Gen. Mohamed Ali Ahmed Sabir as Chief of Military Intelligence.

Lt. Gen. Malik Al-Tayeb Khojali Al-Nil as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations.

The following promotions and appointments were also made:

Lt. Gen. Moatasem Abbas Al-Toum Ahmed as Inspector General of the Armed Forces.

Lt. Gen. Pilot Ali Ajabna Jamouda Mohamed as Commander of the Air Force.

Lt. Gen. Doctor Zakaria Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed as Director General of Medical Services.

Major General Engineer Omar Sirr Al-Khatim Hassan Nasr, Commander of the Air Defense Forces.

His Excellency issued the following promotions and referrals:

Promoting Lieutenant General Abbas Hassan Abbas Al-Darouti to the rank of Lieutenant General and referring him to retirement with pension.

Promoting Lieutenant General Abdul Mahmoud Hammad Hussein Ajami to the rank of Lieutenant General and referring him to retirement with pension.

Promoting Lieutenant General Pilot Al-Tahir Muhammad Al-Awad Al-Amin to the rank of Lieutenant General and referring him to retirement with pension.

The above decisions are effective from August 17, 2025.
