Agar and Kabbashi Arrive in Khartoum State
Deputy Head of the Sovereignty Council
Lieutenant General Malik Agar, and member of the Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,
Lieutenant General Shams El Din Kabashi, arrived in Khartoum State today.
They were received by the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza; Minister of Federal Governance, Engineer Mohamed Kortkila Saleh; Secretary-General of the State Government, El Hadi Abdel Sayed Ibrahim; and members of the state government. Upon arrival, Lieutenant General Agar held a joint meeting with the Khartoum State Government and the State Security Committee.
He listened to a briefing from the Governor of Khartoum, who discussed the stages the state has gone through to restore services and compensate for losses due to the war. The governor added that the state has received support from Head of the Sovereignty Council, members of the Council, and federal and state ministers. The governor also addressed the ongoing efforts made by the Supreme Committee to prepare the general environment for citizens’ return to Khartoum State. These efforts have so far yielded results, including the operation of all water stations, in addition to efforts to restore electricity. He also addressed the state’s interventions in clearing roads, removing debris, and transporting car frames.
On behalf of the State Security Committee, the Director of Khartoum State Police, Lieutenant General Amir Abdel Moneim, presented a briefing on the joint plans to secure the state through deployment, bases, joint patrols, and the security cell, emphasizing the plan’s success in establishing security.
Lieutenant General Agar said that the citizens of the state record a vote of thanks to the state government and the state security committee, which has persevered in extremely dangerous conditions and yet continued to provide services to citizens and secure them. Agar also praised the Ministry of Energy, which made commendable efforts to repair electricity facilities, and the Federal Ministry of Health, where Minister Dr. Haitham remained in Khartoum supporting the health sector. Agar said, “We still have great efforts to receive citizens and provide water, electricity and security services.” He added, “We need to work hard to transform the results of this war into positive action, and we seek to address its effects by making community reconciliations and removing injustice and grudges.” He also called for the need to address the problem of the proliferation of weapons.
