Sudan participates in UN high-level forum in New York

Sudan, represented by the Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, the Deputy Permanent Representative in New York, and a number of health leaders, participated in the event organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York, as part of the United Nations High-Level Political Forum.
The main part of the event was a presentation on health in Sudan, what has been done and its most important challenges, and linking this to the Sustainable Development Goals, presented by the Undersecretary of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim.
The event witnessed the wide participation of UN agencies, in addition to the participation of representatives of a number of countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Norway and Iraq.

During his participation, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health met in a joint meeting with the Secretary-General and the Assistant Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Haoliang Xu, and the meeting discussed the role of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Sudan and the importance of its active participation in the next phase.
