Ministry of Health Launches Saudi Support for Dialysis Centers in Sudan

Today, the Federal Ministry of Health inaugurated a batch of medical devices and equipment to support dialysis centers in Sudan. The equipment was provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, in cooperation with the World Health Organization.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the Saudi Embassy in Port Sudan, and was attended by several officials, including the representative of the Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Esmat Mustafa; the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Jaafar; and the Director of the World Health Organization Office in Sudan, Dr. Shebl Sahban, along with several health sector leaders.

The support provided includes 30 hemodialysis machines for 141 dialysis beds, as well as a range of medicines and medical supplies.
This support will benefit kidney patients in various states of Sudan, according to the needs identified by the National Center for Kidney Diseases and Surgery.

This launch is part of a series of humanitarian initiatives implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), affirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting the Sudanese people, particularly in the health sector, in light of the challenges facing the country.
