Khartoum Governor Participates in Major Rally to Reconstruct People’s Hospital with Support from River Nile State

With broad participation from the Youth Authority for Reconstruction and Recovery, the Civil Support Committee, and the Women’s Committee of the Popular Resistance, Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza launched today from inside the People’s Hospital the first initiative of River Nile State support in rehabilitation of health institutions in Khartoum State. The event was attended by the Secretary-General of the State Government, Al-Hadi Abdel Sayed Ibrahim, and the Director-General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Fath Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin, under the slogan “One Hand Fights, One Hand Builds.”

The Governor of Khartoum praised the efforts of River Nile State in supporting Khartoum State throughout the war, providing support to the state’s citizens to alleviate their suffering. This has had a positive impact on them. The Governor emphasized that the leap forward comes within the 100-day plan announced by the Government of Hope to bring vital sectors into service and support the Khartoum government’s efforts to prepare the general environment for the return of citizens to their areas, especially since the state witnesses the return of 9,000 citizens daily. The Governor revealed ongoing efforts to control security lapses and reduce crime through a well-thought-out plan that is being implemented by the security services. The Governor of Khartoum also announced that the People’s Hospital will be operational within a month, considering it one of the rarest hospitals in the country. He noted that water has returned to many residential neighborhoods after the Nile stations and wells were put into operation, and that work is underway to restore electricity. He emphasized that the state will soon recover after the completion of the service system needed by citizens. The Governor of Khartoum also praised the role of youth in reconstruction and the normalization of civilian life. For his part, the head of the Youth Authority for Reconstruction and National Recovery, Walid Kamal, revealed the objectives of the contents of the River Nile State convoy to support Khartoum, which contains 200 solar-powered lighting fixtures, painting materials, cleaning and agricultural tools, with the participation of the youth, women and mobilized sectors. He also announced the succession of leaps until the reconstruction of Khartoum State is completed.
