Justice Minister Affirms Commitment to Rule of Law and Achieving Justice

Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Mohamed Dirif affirmed his full commitment to the rule of law and the achievement of justice, emphasizing that the current phase requires concerted efforts and full coordination among judicial bodies.

This came during a reception by Ministry of Justice staff at the ministry’s headquarters fallowing his swearing-in.
He was received by Undersecretary of the Ministry, Huwaida Ali Awad Al-Karim, along with the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan and a number of advisors and employees.

Dr. Dirif expressed his gratitude to the Head of the Sovereignty Council and the Prime Minister for the confidence placed in him, pledging to exert his utmost efforts to fully perform his duties.
He said, “We make this assignment a starting point for achieving justice and strengthening coordination between judicial and law enforcement agencies, to consolidate the rule of law and equality before the law.”

The Minister emphasized that justice must be a reality in the lives of citizens through the enforcement of the law, the protection of rights, and the redress of grievances.
He noted that his ministry has a vision for legal reform in cooperation with the Bar Association, law schools, and relevant authorities.

The Minister of Justice concluded his remarks by emphasizing the ministry’s efforts to complete the construction of judicial institutions as part of its strategy to achieve justice, renewing his pledge to the leadership of the state and the Sudanese people that the rule of law will remain an unwavering goal and principle.
