Higher Committee for University Reconstruction Begins Documenting War-Destructed Areas

Under the direction of Professor Tariq Hassan Ibn Auf, Vice Chancellor of the University and Chairman of the Higher Committee for University Reconstruction, documentation of the destruction of university buildings caused by the war sparked by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia began on Saturday, July 5, 2025. The documentation includes university complexes in Al-Thawra, Al-Arda, Al-Fath, and Khartoum.
This will be followed by visits from technical and engineering teams to assess the damage and determine priorities. This will be presented in preparation for the first meeting of the Higher Committee for the Reconstruction of the University, which will be held soon, God willing. Professor Tariq Hassan Ibn Auf, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Reconstruction of the University, stated that a meeting will be held, including the Chairman of the Committee, the University President, and other leaders, with the aim of distributing the Higher Committee’s membership into subcommittees.
These subcommittees will include numerous supporters, experts, university graduates, and students, with the aim of effectively beginning the process of restoring the university to a better state than before, God willing.
It is planned that in-person classes will begin at the university campuses next academic year, God willing.
