Darfur Governor Meets Geneva Call President

The Governor of Darfur, Commander Minni Arko Minnawi, met today with Mr. Deltroze, President of Geneva Call.
The discussion focused on the current situation in the region and the serious human rights violations it faces.
During the meeting, the tragic conditions facing the people of El Fasher and Darfur were addressed, including increasing conflicts and human rights violations by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia. The importance of protecting civilians in light of these ongoing conflicts was highlighted.
It was also agreed to enhance cooperation and coordination between the regional government and Geneva Call by providing training workshops in international law and international humanitarian law. This reflects both parties’ commitment to combating violations and promoting human rights.
The discussion also emphasized the need for the rational use of available resources, given the challenges facing the country.
