The Director of the Voluntary Reyada Center and member of the Board of Trustees of the National Women’s Group, Dr. Inshrah Mohammad Khalil Sharif, revealed their participation tomorrow, Sunday, in the workshop “Protection of Women and Girls First in Peace and War” at the University of Dongola, Faculty of Information Technology. This event is organized by the National Women’s Group in cooperation with the University of Dongola, the Unit for Combating Violence against Women, and the Voluntary Reyada Center.

Inshrah stated in a statement to The Citizen that the center will present a paper called the Early Recovery Initiative, which is a partnership between Voluntary Reyada and Future Selection, involving a number of specialists and experts in the fields of humanitarian work.

The new policy paper “Early Recovery as a Tool for the Protection and Reintegration of Survivors of Conflict-Related Violence in Sudan” provides a roadmap for empowering survivors, achieving justice, and building pathways to sustainable recovery.

Inshrah pointed out that the Early Recovery and Recovery Initiative in Sudan is a voluntary initiative led by experts and professionals in partnership with local communities and volunteer organizations to enhance the effectiveness of the humanitarian response at the current stage, with the aim of activating the role of local communities and voluntary organizations in supporting early recovery and recovery from the effects of war.

She said that the initiative is based on previous experience in providing voluntary training programs to build the capacity of humanitarian partners since July 2023, especially during the first trauma phase. She stressed that they believe that the effectiveness and efficiency of humanitarian interventions depend on the professionalism and capabilities of partners to achieve the best results.
