Prime Minister Inspects Progress at Southern Port and Dama Dama Port

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris inspected progress at the Southern Port and Dama Dama Port and learned about the ports’ needs.
He was accompanied by the Governor of the Red Sea State, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for the leadership and staff of the Sea Ports Authority to exert maximum efforts to make the port competitive at the Red Sea Basin level, stressing that the government will strive to provide the necessary requirements to achieve this.

Engineer Rashid Abdel Rahman Ahmed, Acting Director of the Sea Ports Authority, said that the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of exerting maximum efforts to advance the port. He added, “We will implement this directive and work with dedication.”

He pointed out that the visit reflects the Prime Minister’s interest in the country’s important economic sectors and provides a great impetus to the Authority, which is considered one of the largest pillars of the national economy.
