Federal Health announces the implementation of a cholera response campaign

The Federal Ministry of Health announced the implementation of the cholera response campaign in cooperation with the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State in 12 administrative units in the localities of Jabal Awlia, Omdurman, Karari, Sharq Al Nile, and Ombada, as a first phase , for a period of 10 days from Tuesday, June 10 to Thursday, June 19, as a first stage.

The Federal Supervisor of the campaign in Khartoum, Acting Director of Maternal and Child Health, Amal Mahmoud, confirmed in a meeting with the federal supervisors today at the Office of the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abouda Health Center, the completion of all preparations for the launch of the campaign, targeting 2,611,041 citizens in the targeted administrative units, from ages , one year and above, noting the use of the three strategies, represented in fixed, temporary and mobile centers.

Mahmoud pointed out that the meeting witnessed the distribution of federal supervisors to the various administrative units.

The Federal Supervisor, Abdul Salam Bilal, directed to ensure the improvement of the campaign and ensure that the teams reach all targeted, pointing out that there are 12 federal supervisors, one supervisor for each administrative unit, noting that immunity reaches 65%, which increases with age and reaches 100% through the application of health precautions.
