Sudan Denies Presence of Emirati Diplomat in Sudan

Minister of Culture and Information and official government spokesman, Khaled Al-Eiser, denied any Emirati diplomatic activity in Sudan, noting that rumors about the presence of an Emirati embassy in Port Sudan are “slander.”

He affirmed that the Emirati ambassador left Port Sudan in a well-known incident dating back approximately a year and a half, and since then there has been no Emirati diplomatic presence.
He also confirmed that Sky News Arabia has not been conducting any media activity in Sudan for more than a year and a half.

He indicated that what is being circulated in this regard falls within the framework of disinformation campaigns carried out by “media disinformation rooms,” adding “People should not be led by misinformation to serve the militia’s agenda.”

He said that the government maintained a limited diplomatic presence in the UAE for consular purposes only, to serve the Sudanese residing there.

Al-Eiser revealed media rooms funded with millions of dollars by the UAE to serve the militia’s agenda, citing reports from Facebook, which has blocked a large number of paid media platforms.

He added regretfully: “Some of our own people have lost their way and have been swept along by this scheme. They lack an ounce of patriotism as they watch their country being bombed by drones.”
He emphasized that the government is determined to confront this aggression with all its might, noting that the armed forces and allied forces stand united behind it, supported by the unity of the Sudanese people.
