Minister of Social Development Addresses Initial Media Coordination Council Workshop

Minister of Social Development Ahmed Adam Bakhit addressed the Initial Media Coordination Council workshop for the media departments of the ministry’s various units and institutions, which was held under the slogan “Social Media: Professional, Resilient, Developmental, Collective.”

The minister indicated that the workshop would be a turning point in clearly reflecting the ministry’s role within society.

The minister praised the role of the organizing committee for this workshop and emphasized that media work in the ministry’s various units requires coordination to reflect community work across various media outlets, so that people can sense the role required of this ministry, its contributions, and the community’s expectations of the ministry.

The minister commended the General Secretariat of the Zakat House for hosting this workshop. The minister emphasized the need for the Coordination Council to begin its work by introducing state officials to the ministry’s role, activities, and programs, and then to inform the community through short, expressive messages that everyone can receive, absorb, and comprehend. Ahmed Adam also called for the involvement of the community, including civil administrations, notables, unions, and all community bodies, in this important role, and for this workshop to emerge. With recommendations aimed at unifying social media messages and creating a professional, healthy, and developmental social media body, the Secretary-General of the Zakat House, Ahmed Ibrahim Abdullah, praised the organization of such workshops. He called for efforts to be directed toward the nation and its unity, and to reject hate speech.
