Feel It: Shams Al-Hafiz

Congratulations and blessings to our sons and daughters in the batch of steadfastness and challenge from the students of the Sudanese certificate for the year 2023 AD, which has been postponed.

In a country that was burned by the fires of the diaspora, and whose limbs trembled under the impact of war, the ” Shams” rises from West Darfur to raise the banner of struggle and victory high above the homeland.

She is Shams Al-Hafiz Abdullah, a brilliant student who was not defeated despite displacement and adversity. She even ranked ninth in Sudan in the secondary certificate exams with a score of 94.7%, under unimaginable circumstances, demonstrating determination beyond the limits of possibility.

Shams… She is the first in the face of war, the first in the face of wounds, and the first in the face of adversity. As her story belongs not only to the pages of excellence but also to the chapters of the noble struggle.

From West Darfur state, which was abused by the war machine, to eastern Chad, and from there to the city of Damer in River Nile state, Shams traveled more than 2,000 kilometers. She undertook this journey with great hopes in her heart for an unbeatable homeland despite the devastation.

Shams emerged from the rubble, from the ruins of a groaning homeland, to tell the world: “There is still an unextinguishable light in Sudan.” She and her peers are the builders of this awaited tomorrow, the tomorrow we dream of after years and years of instability and loss.

To Shams and all others like her, we send thousands of congratulations and blessings, as they are not only the children of today, but they are the pillars of this country tomorrow. Hence, the leadership of the state and the Ministry of Higher Education must adopt these individuals and support them by all means, as they are the adornment and support of the homeland.
