Federal Minister of Health Arrives in Geneva, Heading Sudan’s Delegation to WHO General Assembly Meetings

Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, arrived in Geneva, heading Sudan’s delegation to the (78) session of the World Health Organization’s General Assembly. He was received at the airport by the Permanent Representative, Ambassador Hassan Hamid Hassan.

In addition to participating in the organization’s main meetings, the Minister will hold a series of meetings with his counterparts, heads of delegations and ministers, as well as joint meetings with senior WHO officials.

In his statement to the plenary session, the Minister is scheduled to review the extent of the damage to the health system as a result of rebel militias targeting health, service, and strategic facilities.
