Let’s get this straight, Chatbots are not people. They are just bots with human-like
abilities. It’s become so advanced, soon we won’t be able to tell if we’re talking to
AI.This is why we get to dive into conversational Artificial Intelligence. Its purpose is to
enable machines to engage in natural human-like conversations with all kinds of people.
Now this is made possible thanks to natural language processing which can stimulate
human conversation. Obviously this has multiple uses but mainly to save money and
time for big business. However AI is getting smarter and creepier by the day. AI has no
personality but it sure has the ability to convince us and to manipulate us in ways we
are not aware of. With every answer and output there might be an agenda we don’t see.
As AI becomes more persuasive we are entering a time where our thoughts may not be
our own. We would have bots think for ourselves instead of us. The crazy part is that
not even the smart engineers understand how advanced AI makes decisions. But the
reality is that Artificial Intelligence is a reflection of our own vulnerabilities. People have
even started abandoning real human relationships for machines. This creates a
dangerous illusion of connection which has turned into a social problem nowadays. It
could affect how we relate to real people. Let’s not forget that AI also has the ability to
analyze data and to process information but dangerously it never forgets and has
infinite patience. The real danger of artificial intelligence isn’t that AI will become too
human but we will become less human by depending on it.
