UNICEF Sudan Director Praises Level of Coordination with Khartoum State Ministry of Health

UNICEF Sudan Director Dr. Shaldam Yet and his accompanying delegation visited the Khartoum State Ministry of Health, where they discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of health services.
They reviewed the efforts of the organization and its partners in supporting primary health care and epidemic emergencies in the state.
During the meeting, the head of the delegation praised the level of coordination between the ministry and UNICEF, stressing the importance of sustaining cooperation between the two parties to contribute to the development of health services and the improvement of the quality of care provided to citizens, especially in light of the current health challenges.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Bashir, Acting Director General of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State, affirmed the Ministry’s full readiness to cooperate and coordinate with UNICEF and all partners, pointing to the urgent need for support in the health sector in the state. He also called for strengthening joint efforts to provide health services, especially in light of the improved security situation, which would allow for the expansion of the scope of health care provision in the state.
