Surprise Arrests within the RSF militia

Informed sources reported that the Rapid Support Forces’ intelligence service launched a widespread arrest campaign targeting number of military and civilian personnel affiliated with the militia in South Darfur State.

The sources added that the militia accused its members of disseminating information revealing their movements and the locations of their leaders to the army forces.
This came after warplanes launched an airstrike targeting a meeting of militia leaders at the Tadamon Hotel in Nyala.
The sources added that the arrest campaign targeted more than 120 individuals, most notably Musa Daldoum, who was caught with audio recordings on his phone criticizing the militia’s second-in-command and expressing his dissatisfaction with the militia’s defeats in the capital, Khartoum.
The arrest of Daldoum and his companions coincided with growing concerns within the militia as a result of intensified Sudanese airstrikes on its positions in Darfur.
This has led to a wave of arrests of its loyalists, as part of the militia’s attempts to contain any internal infiltration.
